MotoGP Aragon GP: Marc Marquez scores dominant sprint win, Marco Bezzecchi third

Marc Marquez extended his unbeaten sprint record at the Aragon Grand Prix by dominating Saturday’s half-distance race from second on the grid. He launched decisively to pass Aprilia rider Alex Rins and seized the lead, then stretched his advantage to nearly a second by the end of lap 5. Marco Bezzecchi, who topped both practice and qualifying, had to settle for third after losing ground on the soft rear tyre and watching the Ducatis hold him off. Alex Marquez finished second to complete a Ducati 1-2. Marquez’s 20th sprint win in his career moved him up to third in the championship on 12 points. Pedro Acosta took fourth for KTM; Fermin Aldeguer finished sixth, Johann Zarco ninth, and Jack Miller was 10th. There were three retirements: Luca Marini, Fabio di Giannantonio and Fabio Quartararo, the latter with an engine blowout.
