MotoGP Full Race Results | Marquez completes a perfect weekend in Japan

Marc Marquez won the MotoGP Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi, beating Jorge Martin to complete a “perfect weekend” after also taking the Sprint. Martin led into Turn 1 and was able to keep the advantage at the start, while Marco Bezzecchi moved up into third. Tyre blistering on Saturday’s rear softs led to a cautious opening phase, and by Lap 3 the championship contenders and Alex Marquez had pulled away. Marquez took the lead from Martin into Turn 9 on Lap 11 and then extended his control. With Mandalika in Indonesia next, where Martin is strong and is only two points ahead, the margin mattered. Bezzecchi held on for third after Enea Bastianini closed late.
