MotoGP Full Sprint Results | Marquez makes light work of Bezzecchi
Marc Marquez said he needed to take risks for the Aragon Grand Prix races, but he didn’t need any special gamble for a straightforward Saturday sprint victory. Jumping from second to first, the nine-time champion passed pole-sitter Marco Bezzecchi with ease and then built a one-second margin to win. Alex Marquez finished second, while Bezzecchi held on for third as he continues to struggle with knee pain linked to Germany injuries. Jorge Martin, Aprilia’s teammate and championship leader, was pulled into a chaotic fight for fourth with Pedro Acosta and ended up losing the battle, leaving him in damage-limitation mode in the standings. Fabio Di Giannantonio’s faint title hopes took another hit after he crashed on lap three. Fermin Aldeguer and Johann Zarco impressed on return, taking sixth and ninth respectively.
