Motorcyclist clocked at 112 mph breaks Florida 'super speeder' law

A motorcyclist in Vero Beach, Florida, was clocked at 112 mph, far exceeding the state's 'super speeder' threshold. Michael Santos, 29, was arrested about 7:15 a.m. on June 11 and charged with reckless driving and dangerous excessive speeding of 100 mph or more, according to an Indian River County sheriff’s arrest report. A deputy clocked the rider as he sped between two cars and ran a red light at 37th Street, then hit 112 mph in a 45 mph zone on Indian River Boulevard. The bike continued lane splitting and weaving through traffic, prompting a pursuit that video later captured.
