Motorcyclist killed in western Idaho crash

A 50-year-old man from New Meadows died Wednesday evening in a motorcycle crash on U.S. Highway 95 in Adams County, Idaho State Police reported. The crash occurred at about 6:40 p.m. near milepost 173.4. Investigators say the rider, operating a 2017 Harley-Davidson, was traveling north when he failed to negotiate a curve. The motorcycle crossed left of the center line, continued into the southbound lane, and then left the highway onto the southbound shoulder, where it crashed. The rider died at the scene from injuries and was not wearing a helmet. The northbound lane was closed for roughly five hours during response.
