Jarrett was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2011 after 50 career Cup Series wins, including titles in 1961 and 1965. Known as Gentleman Ned for his demeanor, he later became a beloved broadcaster, most memorably in the 1993 Daytona 500 when his on-air enthusiasm rivaled the moment as his son Dale Jarrett won.
