BMW is previewing the 2027 3 Series, with a headline power figure of 443 hp for a straight-six variant. The sedan isn’t going EV-only: the new range will include four- and six-cylinder gasoline versions, after BMW reused the i3 name for the electric version of the redesigned model earlier in 2026. Fully camouflaged pre-production cars are testing on BMW’s track in Miramas, France, and BMW says the new 3 sits on a longer wheelbase than the outgoing model, with wider front and rear tracks and near 50/50 front-rear weight distribution.
