New Electric Sedan Record At Germany's Nürburgring

Porsche has set a new Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record for a production electric sedan with the Taycan Turbo GT, equipped with Manthey Kit. The car completed the circuit in 6 minutes 55.553 seconds, more than 12 seconds quicker than the Weissach package variant. Manthey's first package tailored for an electric model focuses on aerodynamics, suspension, brakes, electronics, and wheels.

Engine output rises to 600 kW (804 hp) and torque to 936 lb-ft, with Launch Control delivering a brief boost to 730 kW (978 hp) via Attack Mode; the team also fitted lighter 21-inch forged wheels and reinforced brakes.
