New Fast EV Chargers Installed In Kentucky
New fast EV chargers have expanded Kentucky’s public network, with two recently activated stations in Elizabethtown and Shepherdsville as the state’s tenth and eleventh fast-charging sites. Each site offers four 400 kW ports to support rapid charging, located near major routes: Elizabethtown sits on Ring Road near a Western Kentucky Parkway exit, while Shepherdsville is near I-65 at a Cedar Grove Road access. Governor Andy Beshear highlights the expansion as essential for EV adoption and long-distance travel, noting that public fast chargers reduce range anxiety and support business and family needs. Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores developed the new locations, and fourteen additional public charging stations are under construction across Kentucky.
