Hyundai recalls 421,000 cars for software bug: See the full list

Hyundai is recalling more than 421,000 vehicles from 2024 onward after the NHTSA flagged a dangerous software bug in front-camera software that powers the forward collision-avoidance system. The recall covers 2025-2026 Santa Cruz and Tucson models, including standard and hybrid variants, plus 2024-2026 Elantra Hybrid and 2025 Ioniq 5 and 2026 Ioniq 9. The agency documented 376 reports of unexpected braking between October 2024 and April 2026. Owners will be notified by July 17 and can check their VIN in the NHTSA recall database. Dealers will update software to fix the issue, and the recall encompasses multiple Hyundai models.
