Passenger injured in two-vehicle crash in New London, Minnesota
A passenger was injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning at a New London intersection in Kandiyohi County. The Minnesota State Patrol reported a 2020 Ram 1500, driven by 79-year-old Robert Tatge of Spicer, was westbound on Minnesota Highway 9 when a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu traveling south on Highway 23 entered the intersection and collided. Jossie Johnson, 63, of Foley, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to CentraCare – Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. The Malibu was driven by 75-year-old Glendor Johnson of Oak Park; the Ram driver was uninjured. All occupants wore seat belts and alcohol was not believed to be a factor, with road conditions dry at about 10:33 a.m. Saturday. Local responders assisted at the scene, including the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, Rescue Squad, New London Fire and Ambulance, and CentraCare Ambulance.
