xCruzo Brief
Porsche, the embattled sports-car arm of Volkswagen, reported a profit rebound in the first nine months of the year, signaling an early test of CEO Michael Leiters’ turnaround plan. Operating profit rose to €1.74 billion ($1.94 billion), compared with a weak prior-year figure of €40 million, when Porsche was hit by €2.7 billion in costs tied largely to its halted electrification strategy. Porsche’s finance chief Jochen Breckner said the company remains financially robust and reaffirmed its 2026 guidance. Porsche operating return on sales improved from a record low 1.1% in 2025 to 6.9% over the nine months. Restructuring is underway as China sales decline.
