Porsche Shutters Chinese Dealers Over Slow Sales And Lost Profit
Porsche is closing four regional dealerships in China after weak sales and margin pressure in 2026, according to reporting cited from IT-home via CarNewsChina. The affected dealer centers are in Wuhu, Jining, Huai'an, and Nanning, and they ceased operations on June 30, with sales authorizations set to be adjusted. It is not yet clear which sites will continue serving existing Porsche customers or hand off service to other dealers. The broader plan is to reduce the number of dealer centers from 116 to 80 to improve profitability, as each dealer reportedly loses between 20,000 yuan and 30,000 yuan per delivery. The company also shut down about 200 DC fast chargers in China. Porsche delivered 41,938 vehicles in China in 2025, down 26.3% year over year, and sold 7,519 units in Q1 2026, down 21.0% versus 2025.
