Rare 1970 Chevelle SS LS6 Heads to GAA Classic Car Auction in July 2026
A rare 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 two-door coupe is scheduled to cross the block at the GAA Classic Car Auction in July 2026. The car is finished in Tuxedo Black with a black vinyl interior and is presented as a triple-black configuration with full documentation. Its 454-cubic-inch LS6 engine is certified by muscle-car authority Patrick Glenn Nichols and is described as matching-numbers, with specific components including an 811 water pump, a dual-line Holley carburetor, an LS6 intake manifold, and a distributor identified as 1111437. The block casting number is 3963512 with a K129 casting date, and build records trace it to Tonawanda, New York, with a TO323CRR designation indicating a March 23 build for an LS6 automatic. A Turbo 400 automatic transmission backs the engine. The auction runs July 23–25 at The Palace, alongside more than 400 other collector vehicles.
