Re-energised Nissan looks to become 'top tier fleet partner'
Re-energised Nissan is aiming to become a top tier fleet partner by accelerating its electric vehicle rollout in the UK. Fleet director Russell Forbes outlined a strategy focused on cadence of new models and a strengthened sales mix for corporate customers. The company has expanded its electric line-up from one full electric car, the Leaf, to three with Ariya and the refreshed Micra, and plans to add the electric Juke and a B-segment model next year. This expansion puts five models across A, B, and C segments, including B-SUV and C-SUV, into Nissan's fleet portfolio. Forbes said the plan will diversify sales channels to target corporate, public sector, and salary-sacrifice arrangements. The network has a quarter of 130 retailers designated as fleet business centres, and the aim is to reach roughly one third. An aftersales charter reinforces service standards to fleet customers, underpinning Nissan's commitment to peace of mind solutions. The plan will be presented to the network later this month as volumes rise, with a continued emphasis on e-Power as an interim stepping stone.
