Recall alert: Mercedes-Benz expands recall, more than 30K cars recalled over faulty brake hoses

Mercedes-Benz has expanded a recall affecting more than 30,000 luxury vehicles due to a potential issue with front brake hoses, according to a report filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Oct. 2 filing covers vehicles built between 2022 and 2025, including six S-Class variants such as Mercedes-Maybach and Mercedes-AMG models. The company says the front brake hose defect could leak or rupture, increasing the distance needed to stop. Mercedes reported three cases in the U.S. (April, May and August) but no crashes, injuries, or property damage. Owners are expected to be notified by mail on Nov. 27, and dealers will replace the part for free. The total number affected is 30,064 vehicles.
