Roush's Ram And Nissan Builds Signal The Death Of Ford Loyalty
Roush is signaling a shift in its long-standing Ford-only identity as it builds performance programs with other automakers, starting with Nissan and moving to Ram. After launching a Nissan Frontier build, Roush confirmed a joint performance truck program with Ram that is set to debut in summer 2026, following the Frontier initiative in the near term. The Ram collaboration is described as a jointly developed performance truck based on Ram’s best-selling 1500 platform, with Roush expected to apply its suspension, intake, and exhaust tuning expertise alongside Ram’s current Hemi hardware. Specific output figures and pricing have not been released. This marks a departure from Roush’s historical focus on supercharged Ford vehicles, now extending its tuning approach beyond the Blue Oval to match market opportunity in the hottest pickup segments.
