Saudi Arabia faces new missile and drone fire after major attacks on airports

Saudi Arabia said it was hit by another round of incoming missile and drone fire on Monday, with Riyadh’s airport staying shut for now days after a deadly Saturday strike on a departure terminal. The Saudi-led coalition reported drones and missiles in the air, but Saudi authorities did not immediately confirm any interceptions. Houthis have targeted Saudi airports and oil facilities since last week, forcing parts of Saudi airspace to close and emptying skies over the capital during a major energy conference. The escalation comes as Saudi Arabia pushes to drive Houthis away from the Bab el-Mandeb Strait oil route. Iran has offered to mediate.
