Saudi boxing chief takes bizarre shot at Dua Lipa at Fury v Joshua press conference

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua took their first face-to-face step toward a long-awaited showdown at Olympia London on Wednesday, with the bout officially set for 11 December at Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Saudi boxing financier Turki Alalshikh used the launch press conference to deliver a dig at pop star Dua Lipa, saying she “doesn’t like boxing” and likely wouldn’t perform in the stadium. Alalshikh also said staging the fight in the UK cost him a $70m revenue loss and that the start time would likely suit an American audience. Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn added that Joshua gave up at least $10m to keep the event in the UK.
