She's been buying every Princess Diana garment she can find. Now she has more than 800

Renae Plant says she has built one of the largest private collections of Princess Diana’s personal items, now exceeding 800 pieces. Plant and her husband, Livinio Stuyck, were considering becoming restaurant investors in Los Angeles when a pizza shop suggested they take a stake in the business. But her collection took off after a friend told her that six of Diana’s dresses were at Julien’s. Since then—roughly 12 years—Plant has focused on consolidating Diana’s belongings, and in 2018 she created the Princess & The Platypus Foundation, a registered nonprofit that supports charities connected to Diana’s philanthropic work. She bought Diana’s “caring dress” at auction last year for $520,000.
