Signs Luca Marini for next two MotoGP seasons

Luca Marini will leave Honda to ride for Tech3 KTM in the 2027 and 2028 MotoGP seasons, the team announced. The move comes under Tech3’s new ownership structure led by Guenther Steiner, which will handle rider negotiations and signings from 2027. Even so, Tech3 still needs KTM’s approval because KTM provides the bikes and technical support. Marini was not initially on Tech3 and KTM’s radar, but talks began after his agent approached Steiner at the Italian GP. A second meeting with KTM motorsport boss Pit Beirer followed in June, leading to an agreement made public today. Tech3 has yet to confirm Marini’s teammate for next season.
