Skoda Elroq vRS Fights Countach, Testarossa and 944 Turbo in World's Most Shameless Drag Race

Skoda’s Elroq vRS headline-grabs attention by turning an all-electric family crossover into a drag-race showdown against icons from the 1980s, highlighting how far EV performance has advanced. The Czech automaker says the Elroq vRS is its fastest-accelerating model ever, reaching 62 mph (100 kph) in 5.4 seconds, then topping out at 111 mph (178 kph). Power comes from two electric motors for a combined 335 hp (340 ps) and 402 lb-ft (545 Nm) of torque. Skoda also cites up to 344 miles of range, and charging from 10–80% in about 29 minutes. Visually, it features an illuminated Tech-Deck Face, vRS-specific branding, and a five-seat cabin. Skoda UK PR boss Pietro Panarisi framed the test as a bridge between past “benchmarks” and modern usability.
