Superlight Secures $21M to Transform Middle Mile Logistics with Purpose-Built, Electric Trucks that Leverage Aerospace Design and Software-Centric Digital Architecture
Superlight, an electric truck manufacturer, announced it has raised an oversubscribed $21 million Series A to expand middle-mile logistics using purpose-built electric vehicles informed by aerospace design and software-centric architecture. The company, based in Yateley, England and Seattle, said the funding round was co-led by Engine Ventures and 2150 and brings total capital raised to $33 million. According to the company, the new investment will be used to complete the buildout of its UK manufacturing facility, fulfill initial UK and EU sales, and provide “federalized” vehicles for customer testing.
