Suzuki e Vitara - 'e' for expensive
Suzuki e Vitara brings an electrified “e” badge to Australia with a new, India-built platform aimed at navigating tougher emissions rules and harsher competition in the entry electric-SUV market. The small EV SUV starts from $49,000 drive-away, placing it above China-sourced rivals such as the Leapmotor B10, Jaecoo J5 and BYD Atto 2, and closer to the Kia EV3, Hyundai Kona Electric and MG S5. An Ultra all-wheel-drive version carries an additional $9,000 over the base Motion 2WD, effectively targeting the pricier end of its segment, including the Volvo EX30. Built in India on a platform shared with Toyota, the e Vitara features 18-inch alloy wheels, LED auto high beams, a 10.1-inch multimedia touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, heated front seats and a sunroof. Its styling and interior mark a shift toward more modern designs in Australia.
