T-Roc first drive | First major update for big-seller

Volkswagen’s second-generation T-Roc arrives with a clear mission to build on its popularity while addressing earlier criticisms. The update brings a more mature, sophisticated feel, a substantially upgraded cabin, improved infotainment, more space and a larger boot, all wrapped in an evolved but familiar formula. The range currently relies on mild-hybrid petrol engines only, with two 1.5-litre eTSI variants paired to a seven-speed DSG automatic; there is no electric or plug-in hybrid option yet. Trim levels include Life, Style and R-Line, while a longer wheelbase and overall length improve interior room and practicality for family use.
