Tesla Model S Plaid Tuning Unlocks Features the Factory Won't Let Owners Use
A DragTimes demonstration claims it can “unlock” Tesla Model S Plaid features that owners can’t access through the factory interface. The video centers on a 2026 Model S Plaid fitted with a SirHarrold tuning module that plugs into the car’s electronics via an existing connector under an interior trim panel, with configuration handled through a Windows application and an optional physical button. Rather than traditional engine adjustments, the module alters electronic commands for existing EV hardware, enabling customizable power settings, new burnout capabilities, and extra suspension functions. DragTimes also reports mode-specific power increases for Plaid, Drag Strip, and Track, plus a scramble function with adjustable duration. It claims quarter-mile time improved from 9.37 to 9.24 seconds, half-mile from 14.9 to 14.5, and trap speed from 180.3 mph to 185.7 mph with a 10% power increase enabled.
