The 5 Most Interesting Features of the 2027 BMW X5
BMW has unveiled the all-new 2027 X5, introducing a redesigned fifth-generation model built around its “Neue Klasse” approach and a new digital architecture. Shown during a world premiere at the Spartanburg, South Carolina factory where it will be built, the mid-size luxury SUV targets a major step in styling, cabin upgrades, and a wider range of multi-energy drivetrains. Exterior highlights include a monolithic look with a tall front stance and a vertical kidney grille, along with standard grill illumination. BMW’s new “Double-X” lighting combines low beams, daytime running lights, and turn signals into a single housing, with X-pattern activation for turn signals and hazards. The design also removes conventional door handles, replacing them with flush Winglet handles in the B- and C-pillars.
