The Bad Guy"- Carson Hocevar Admits Guilt Defending Spire Motorsports Suspension in Public Message
Carson Hocevar said he will watch the NASCAR season finale from the sidelines after Spire Motorsports benched him following his Martinsville incident with Austin Cindric. Hocevar’s repeated brake checks wrecked the Team Penske driver’s car, leaving him 36th, and Justin Haley took over the No. 77 Chevrolet at Homestead-Miami. In a public video message, Hocevar admitted responsibility, saying he deliberately brake-checked Cindric three or four times on the track. He acknowledged this was the first time he accepted blame for a major 2026 on-track incident after earlier confrontations included spinning Brad Keselowski at Darlington and conflicts at Bristol. NASCAR fined Hocevar $100,000 and docked 25 driver points for violations, citing prior code-of-conduct issues.
