The diesel Chevy Suburban makes too much sense to be this hard to find

A diesel 3.0-liter Duramax Suburban is proving hard to find, despite its appeal for families needing space, range and strong low-end torque. The story follows a shopper coming from a Ford Expedition, then ordering a Suburban RST with the GM Duramax turbo-diesel after dealers couldn’t locate a used diesel. Output is 305 hp and 495 lb-ft, with Chevrolet rating fuel economy at up to 21 mpg city/26 highway and as much as 728 miles of highway range. Real-world results are about 24 mpg combined. The ordered SUV cost roughly $83,000 with options.
