This Groovy and Patriotic 'Austin Powers' Corvette Is Up for Grabs

A 1965 Chevrolet Corvette convertible tied to the “Austin Powers” films is set to cross the block at Carlisle Auctions’ fall sale on October 1–2. The C2 “Vette” from The Spy Who Shagged Me features a patriotic American flag paint scheme and a plate reading “CIA 1,” driven in the movie by CIA agent Felicity Shagwell, played by Heather Graham. The same car also appears in Lenny Kravitz’s 1999 cover video for “American Woman” from the film soundtrack. According to the listing, it has a numbers-matching 327-cubic-inch (5.3-liter) V8 and four-speed manual transmission, completed a frame-off restoration in 2008, and has logged about 7,000 miles since. Bidding will be closely watched given recent C2-related auction results.
