Three drivers arrested after biker hurt in New Milton crash

Three drivers were arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after a crash left a motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries in New Milton, Hampshire, on Sunday evening. Police said the collision involved three cars and a motorcycle and occurred on Ashley Road at the junction with Kings Road at about 17:30 BST. The rider, a 32-year-old man from Christchurch, Dorset, remains in hospital. Investigators identified a Suzuki motorcycle, a silver Vauxhall Vivaro, a grey Land Rover Evoque, and a blue BMW estate as part of the crash. A 54-year-old man from the New Forest was arrested for driving while unfit through drugs and causing serious injury by careless driving. A 21-year-old man was held on suspicion of driving while over the specified limit for a particular drug and dangerous driving causing serious injury, released on bail until December 21. A 55-year-old woman was also arrested and released on bail until December 20.
