Three injured in Saturday night crash on Interstate 29
Three adults and a juvenile were injured in a Saturday night crash on northbound I-29 at mile marker 46 in St. Joseph, Missouri. A 56-year-old Ottawa, Kansas woman driving a 2025 Nissan Sentra failed to yield to a stationary 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe with emergency lights activated, and the front of the Sentra struck the Tahoe’s rear, leaving both vehicles totaled and blocking the passing lane. The occupants—two adults and a juvenile from the Sentra, and a 54-year-old St. Joseph man driving the Tahoe—were transported to Mosaic Life Care with serious or moderate injuries. The Sentra was towed by Blue Knight and the Tahoe by Randy’s Towing. Trooper C.C. De Alba, with assistance from Cpl. A.M. Mapel, Trooper N.M. Newland and the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office, investigated.
