Ford Motor Co. is advising owners of certain Bronco Sport SUVs and Maverick pickups not to drive due to the risk of an incorrectly installed component that could cause a loss of steering control. The recall covers 2022-2026 Bronco Sports and Mavericks, affecting 4,653 vehicles. Dealers are instructed to contact owners, warn them not to operate the vehicles, and arrange a mobile service to assess or tow at no cost if needed. Rentals are authorized under the recall. Ford says owners should seek guidance and, if necessary, have their vehicles repaired or replaced to restore safe operation.
