Top 20 electric cars with the longest-lasting batteries

A global AVILOO study using more than 500,000 battery State of Health (SoH) tests over four years (2022–2026) has ranked the 20 most popular EV models by battery durability. None of the tested vehicles saw a median SoH drop of more than 10% in the first 50,000 km. The top performer was the Hyundai Ioniq 5, with a median SoH of 97.13%. Second place went to the Mercedes EQA at 96.56%, followed by the Hyundai Kona at 96.27%—starting from £31,250. Fourth through sixth were the Audi Q8 e-tron (95.71%), BMW i4 Gran Coupé (95.6%) and Volkswagen ID.4 (95.24%). The top 10 rounded out with Volvo XC40 Recharge, Skoda Enyaq, Ford Mustang Mach-E and Audi Q4 e-tron.
