Toyota Corolla Hatchback Gets New Tech Inside, Same Formula Outside
Toyota updates the Corolla Hatchback for 2027 with new interior technology while keeping the basic “same formula outside,” according to the report. The 2027 model adds two digital cluster options depending on grade: the SE includes a 7.0-inch digital cluster with an 8.0-inch infotainment screen, while the XSE offers a 12.3-inch digital dash and a 10.5-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia system. For the SE, buyers can also access this layout via the optional Premium Package, adding $800 to a $26,075 base price; the XSE is priced higher at $29,170. Toyota also revises color offerings with new shades, including Blueprint with a black roof for a $500 upcharge. The hatch continues with a 2.0-liter I-4 making 169 horsepower and 151 lb-ft, paired with Toyota’s Direct Shift CVT, front-wheel drive, and no hybrid option. Equipment carries over, and Toyota Connected Services are included for five years, while standard tire sizes are 205/55R16 and the 18-inch accessory wheel requires 225/40R18 tires.
