Trackhouse's Fernandez takes first pole at Indonesian GP

Trackhouse rider Raul Fernandez took his first-ever MotoGP pole at the Indonesian Grand Prix in Mandalika on Saturday. His fastest lap, 1:28.852, was a career milestone and a lap record from practice, edging Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi by 0.109 seconds. Title challengers Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez will line up on the second row, with Marquez fourth and Martin just ahead of him in the grid position. Fabio Di Giannantonio put VR46 on the front row on his birthday. Bezzecchi settled for second after yellow flags were waved following Fermin Aldeguer’s crash. With six rounds left, the championship remains tightly poised on 333 points for Martin.
