Tsitsipas wins Swiss Open title to claim first ATP Trophy in 16 months

Stefanos Tsitsipas ended a 16-month wait for an ATP Tour title by beating Belgium’s Raphael Collignon 6-4, 6-7(3), 6-3 in the Swiss Open final in Gstaad on Sunday. The 27-year-old claimed his first title since the Dubai Tennis Championships in March 2025, when he defeated Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime. It was also his 13th ATP singles crown overall. In a match lasting two hours and 17 minutes, Tsitsipas produced four aces without a double fault and won 21 of 29 points on his second serve. He saved two of the four break points he faced. After taking the opener, he saw Collignon level via a second-set tiebreak before Tsitsipas secured the decisive break in the third set. The victory comes ahead of the U.S. Open, which begins August 30.
