Universal Technical Institute Completes Nationwide Rollout of EV and Hybrid Training

UTI, a Phoenix-based education provider, announced that all core Automotive Technology programs across the country now include battery hybrid electric vehicles (BHEV) and electric vehicles (EV) courses. The curriculum covers high-voltage operation, EV components, diagnosis and service, electronic principles, and testing of battery systems. Depending on the campus, students may train on Ford Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai IONIQ 5, or FIAT 500e. 'There are millions of EVs on the road and increasing,' said UTI Division President Tracy Lorenz, underscoring the growing need for technicians who can diagnose and repair these systems safely.
