xCruzo Brief

Vietnam motorcycle market shifts to multi-technology competition as manufacturers expand both fuel-efficient petrol and electric offerings while overall demand keeps growing. The Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (VAMM) reported that its five member companies sold 638,431 motorcycles in the second quarter, up 4.4% year-on-year. The figures were announced on July 10, as Vietnam’s two-wheeler market continued expanding in Q2 2026 despite expectations of saturation. VAMM said motorcycles remain the main transport for many Vietnamese due to affordability and flexibility across urban and rural areas. Honda Vietnam leads the market with nearly 86% share, selling models including Wave Alpha, Vision, LEAD, Air Blade, SH and Winner, plus electric models such as ICON e:, CUV e: and UC3. Yamaha Motor Vietnam offers electric NEO’s and other new additions including PG-1 and LEXi 155. The association’s data only cover sales by its five members and exclude non-member brands, production output, and exports.
