Woman, 70, killed and three others hurt in crash

A woman, 70, died and three others were hurt in a road crash reported by Cheshire Police in Chester. The collision involved a grey Cupra and a blue Kia Sportage on Parkgate Road at the junction with Welsh Road at about 23:00 BST on Monday. The 70-year-old woman, a passenger in the Kia, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The driver of the Kia and two additional passengers suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital, while a fourth passenger had minor injuries. The driver of the Cupra was not hurt. Investigators said inquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made, and they appealed for witnesses or dashcam footage to assist the investigation.
