Woman still fighting for her life after police pursuit ends in crash in Stratford

A woman is still in critical condition in hospital after a police pursuit ended in a crash near Stratford, according to reports from the UK. Officers tried to stop a vehicle on Birmingham Road just before 5:30 p.m. on Monday, but the driver of a black Audi failed to comply and sped off toward the A46 before heading back toward Stratford on the A439 Warwick Road. About 15 minutes later, the Audi crashed with a Ford Puma on the stretch of road between the Marraway roundabout turnoff on the A46 and the Ingon Lane junction. Paramedics pronounced the male driver of the Audi dead at the scene. The woman in her 60s driving the Ford was taken to hospital in critical condition. A female passenger in her 20s received minor injuries.
