Year-old boy arrested for 3rd time for stealing cars in Oakland County

A 13-year-old boy in Oakland County, Michigan, was arrested for the third time after investigators linked him to repeated car thefts and business break-ins. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office began probing incidents in Pontiac and Waterford Township over the weekend. On Sunday, deputies responded to a dealership on Cesar Chavez Avenue in Pontiac and found forced entry, a heavily damaged Dodge Charger and a stolen Dodge Dart. Authorities said those moves involved a Chevrolet pickup truck and a Dodge Ram stolen from a Pontiac landscaping business two days earlier. The suspect allegedly climbed a fence, used a rock to break a window, and targeted keys to multiple vehicles on surveillance video. Detectives arrested him within 24 hours and filed a 16-count juvenile petition. In 2025, officials said he had been accused of stealing Silverado trucks and trailers valued at $90,000.
