Beach Boys salute 60 years of Pet Sounds at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol

The Beach Boys will mark 60 years of Pet Sounds with a salute to the U.S.’s 250th anniversary at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol in Bristol, Virginia, on Friday, Nov. 8. The band—synonymous with the California lifestyle—will celebrate the landmark album while recalling that co-founder and lead singer Mike Love wrote lyrics for the group’s first hit “Surfin’” in 1961. The Beach Boys have sold more than 100 million records worldwide and earned over 33 RIAA Platinum and Gold awards, plus a Lifetime Achievement award at the 2001 Grammys. They’ve released major retrospectives, and their 2024 Disney+ documentary debuted with Frank Marshall and Thom Zimny directing.
