Ben Affleck's New Netflix Thriller Holds Off 'East of Eden,' 'Ted Lasso' Finale at No. 1 on Streaming | Charts

Netflix claimed all three top positions on this week’s streaming chart as Ben Affleck’s new thriller Animals debuted at No. 1. The film—directed by Affleck and starring him—centers on a mayoral candidate whose son is kidnapped ahead of election day. Netflix also dominated the rest of the ranking, holding the top three spots, with East of Eden moving up to second driven by Florence Pugh and Below landing in third as another fresh entry timed for spooky season. Below is the Canadian series starring Josh Hartnett, set in a Newfoundland fishing town plagued by something in the water. Ted Lasso finished fourth, while Prime Video’s Carrie adaptation opened at sixth as a miniseries. Linear charts weren’t fully detailed in the excerpt.
