Bill Pullman's 4-Part Netflix Masterpiece Thriller Deserves To Be Binged

Bill Pullman leads The Sinner, Netflix’s four-season police procedural built to be watched in one stretch. The series premiered in August 2017 with eight episodes and ran through December 2021. Based on Petra Hammesfahr’s 1999 novel, it follows detective Harry Ambrose as each season investigates crimes with unexpected culpables and moral crises at the center. Pullman appears in every season as Harry, while Jessica Hecht’s Sonya Barzel returns for seasons 3 and 4. Though it’s an anthology, each installment builds on what came before. The show has a 92% Rotten Tomatoes score and earned Golden Globe nominations and an Emmy nod in 2018.
