Billy Idol and Steve Stevens Inducted into Hollywood's RockWalk - Internewscast Journal
Billy Idol’s RockWalk induction underscores how the rock veteran and his longtime collaborator Steve Stevens continue to receive major recognition in Hollywood this year. Idol, whose milestone year includes a recent selection for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and a May American Music Awards Lifetime Achievement Award, and Stevens were honored Tuesday at Guitar Center’s Hollywood RockWalk. The pair share a creative partnership that spans nearly 45 years, with Stevens describing their “symbiotic friendship” as a driver of their musical chemistry. Their induction places them alongside past honorees including John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Aerosmith, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and others. Guitar Center CEO Gabe Dalporto said the initiative was created to recognize lasting impacts on music during an era before a dedicated Rock Hall existed.
