Eric Bauza, the Emmy-winning voice actor known as the modern voice of Looney Tunes characters including Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, has died suddenly at age 46, according to a family statement. He was behind iconic roles such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig, and also appeared in two 2026 animated films: Coyote vs. Acme and Forgotten Island, the latter recently released. Variety reported the cause of death as hypertensive cardiovascular disease, saying Bauza died at his home on Sunday, October 25. At the time, he was in pre-production on Bye Bye Bunny: A Looney Tunes Musical, where he voices Daffy Duck, and on The Dragon Masters as the Shogun King. Producers and colleagues shared tributes, including Coyote vs. Acme producer Chris DeFaria, who praised Bauza’s impact on the film and animation as an art form.
