Finding her own genre: Nicole Raviv blends Hebrew, Arabic, and pop into a new Israeli sound

Nicole Raviv is using pop music to blend identities instead of choosing between them. In her new single “Hayati” (Arabic for “my life”), Raviv sings in Arabic, English, and Arabic again, over modern production with Middle Eastern sounds. The song is part of an album expected by the end of 2026, and is paired with a Jaffa-shot music video that moves through colorful streets and details Raviv calls both unmistakably Israeli and deeply personal. The video’s Moroccan tea set once belonged to her grandmother, and Israel’s sunflower-seed snack appears as an authentic prop. Raviv says her long creative journey began in suburban Montreal as a “third culture kid,” raised on Hebrew alongside her parents’ Romanian and Moroccan roots.
