The CW's 4-Season Historical Drama With 86% Is Heading to Free Streaming in August

Reign, The CW’s historical drama that ran for four seasons from 2013 to 2017, is heading to free streaming on Pluto TV. The Paramount-owned service will add the series to a lineup that already includes Jane the Virgin, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, iZombie, Awkward and Faking It, available starting Aug. 1. Pluto TV says the collection is curated for viewers aged 18 to 34, described as its fastest-growing audience segment. Created by Laurie McCarthy and Stephanie SenGupta, Reign stars Adelaide Kane as Mary, Queen of Scots, beginning in 1557 when she returns to France ahead of marriage to Francis. The story spans power struggles, shifting alliances and religious conflict through season four, ending in 1587. Season 1 received a 58% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, with later seasons more widely praised.
