Marcus Wareing has reportedly withdrawn from hosting a new TV show produced by Gordon Ramsay’s Studio Ramsay, dealing a major setback to the project. The as-yet-unnamed series would have featured ordinary people improving their cooking skills under the guidance of Wareing, a Michelin-starred chef who also serves as a judge on MasterChef: The Professionals. Filming was planned for next week and intended for the BBC, but The Sun reports the production has been halted after Wareing told producers he no longer wanted to proceed. A source said the BBC could potentially rescue the concept with a different approach, since they liked the format and talent involved.
